Louis Vuitton Sofia Coppola PM

Owning this bag is such a dream. 

I've been wanting to own it for around 3 years, every time I have been in London I have visited a Louis Vuitton store simply to admire it. The shape, details and simple design have created a classic bag, resulting in my desire to own it.

 It is so versatile and can be worn in multiple ways to enable wear from day to night, which is ideal if I am out all day. It's large size is so useful, as I still love my Chanel bags for their timeless beauty, but can just about fit my essentials within them.

 The cobalt is also an alternative to my usual black bags. The navy hue is perfectly dark which is perfect for me, even the inner lining of grey suede is beautiful.

Pleated skirt

Pleats are a sudden reoccurrence on my mind. 

 I have finally come to the conclusion: they can take a place in my wardrobe. They usually appear in industry; school, sports such at tennis, badminton etc or the ankle length of a librarian. When was younger I would ask my parents to buy me a tennis outfit simply for the pleated skort, not knowing anything about the actual sport. 

This skirt by Miu Miu features everything I ask from a skirt, short, slightly a-line, NAVY,  simple yet intricate details and the addition of pleats providing extra volume and detail. need.NEED.neeeeeeed

Saint Laurent Babies

I caved. I could not resist the purchase of these block heeled babies. They give me such a 1960's feeling when I wear them, I could be transported, (I wish anyway). I will be wearing these Mary Janes with my short skirts; denim, suede, grey pleated- all, they are perfect suited to any style as long as the skirt lies high at the thigh. 

Their patent qualities have refuelled my addiction, adding to my collection of black patent leather shoes.

Isabel Marant La Montre

Delighted with my purchase of this watch is an understatement, resulting in my rather large sum of photographs. I am in ultimate awe and nearly shock at owning it as I never thought it would be possible to own the design by Isabel Marant. I originally wanted the impossible of the gold version, upon seeing this steel version available I knew I must own it. I previously stated the watch to be £520 within the Isabel Marant boutiques, however its availability on Net-a-Porter displayed a lower price of £430 increased the incentive to buy. The square frame adds a distinctive appearance, usually watches feature a rectangular frame (or circular). This is perfectly suited to me in being different, yet not greatly stepping on the toes of tradition due it's historical reference.

Osaka

Dress and Shoes - A.P.C.

This dress is another piece I have had taken up, designers never seem to take into consideration for shorter people (even though I feel taller people are more rare). Anyway, I love it. I very rarely wear patterns (the only other item is my A.P.C. coffee bean dress) but the delicate print against deep purple is so subtle it is perfect for me. 

I'm not 100% certain of the plant featured within the pattern but I would love to own it. Upon the google search on Osaka (the name of the dress) it resulted in being a city in Japan, maybe the pattern is a popular plant within the city?

Grey pleated skirt

Jumper - COS (last year), Skirt - YMC, Shoes - Repetto, Bag - Chanel

I initially gained the inspiration of a grey pleated skirt by discovering the one by Saint Laurent. The price of nearly £1000 was rather distressing to me. I decided to not give up on the idea. I began my search and was astonished to find one by YMC for just under 20 percent of the price (17.01 to be precise ha). I have greatly taken up the skirt as it original intention is to lie at the knee.  It seems odd how have not previously considered owning a pleated skirt. When I was at school I absolutely loved wearing my uniform mainly due to the skirt, it is so feminine in shape, the volume of the pleats forming a perfect A-line shape. My friend stated this, laughing at me as it reminded her of school uniform, my answer to this statement was "good".

Babies

Babies. The naming could not be more accurate, just look at THESE BABIES. The are so stunning. They instantly make me reminisce of childhood, doll like strapped shoes, that probably every female toddler owned. They are the epitome of femininity.  Saint Laurent have added a heel which provide the childlike shoe with maturity. My never-ending passion for patent leather have increased my desire for these to be placed on my feet.

Jumpers

Jumpers have been greatly on my mind this autumn. There seems to be so many perfect options available this year in comparison to others (unless I have been ignorant to previous selections),  there are Roll necks, Turtle mock necks, high necks, cable knits, ski like patterns, classic nautical stripes in various formats; the list is never-ending which is rather unfortunate for my bursting wishlist.

La Montre

I remember the original release of the Isabel Marant watch a couple of years ago and instantaneously fell in love with its timeless (pardon the pun) appearance. The gorgeous gold hard wear combined with the leather strap appeared aesthetically delicious. The ideology of the watch also melted my heart, based on her late father's watch she wears to keep his memory, “so that he remains in my memories, like an extension of himself….a hand on my hand”. 

However the hefty price tag was a major barrier in my way of making a purchase. 

To my great pleasure I recently received an email informing me of the new launch of her Stainless steel version, which is equally as elegant as the original gold piece. And the price is set at £520 which I gather is a lot lower than the prior watch. 

I admire the simplicity of this watch the perfection of it appearing masculine provides a nonchalant manner. I can almost envision the watch wrapped around my wrist, the stainless steel silver peeping out under a wrist of a sleeve.

Turtle-neck

 I have recently been asked on my Tumblr about mixing up my pieces. So here is a outfit which I have re-styled. To be honest this styling is the main way I wear my turtle neck. Although I do wear the alternate version, this one is much more practical for day to day. The wool shorts I am wearing are from A.P.C.'S AW13 collection and are gloriously comfy. I bought them in late spring this year via YOOX for only £45 from their original pricing of around £170 (maybe more I am unsure) and have had them altered. The original sizing were huge and ended at my knees.

A.P.C. Dolly coat

 I am so pleased autumnal weather is coming upon us and I can resume to my tights and coat wearing normality.

 I can safely say Autumn is my favourite season, however cliche that sounds. I just know I can rely on it clothes wise and it is so beautiful. It is like viewing changing art everyday.  For some reason I always feel mellow and happy in Autumn, (although I shouldn't as it means work work work). 

As you can see I am wearing my new purchase which I am incredibly pleased with.

I have always wanted a long coat, but due to my height always refrained from the idea. So I was really shocked to find this coat didn't appear to lengthy on my small frame upon trying it on. It also features the cute sixties styled peter pan collar without appearing too cutesy. I have always loved peter pan collars and now I've succeeded with the feature within a coat I am greatly craving one on a blouse/shirt.

A.P.C. Spring/Summer 2015

I feel this collection by A.P.C. is rather disappointing.  I feel it does not flow as previous collections have and the patterns aren't too attractive. Nevertheless I have chosen my favourite looks. Obviously I had to select the black dress as one of my favourites as it is such a perfect LBD! I can imagine myself wearing it repeatedly as it is natural for me to like dark and simplistic items. 

I remember a couple of years ago A.P.C. released sleeveless pussy bow blouses which I greatly regret not purchasing. So seeing them having re-designed some blouses with the pussy bow/tie as a feature I am so pleased! It appears the blouse is incorporating a floral pattern (Liberty print?) which I instantly love. Plus the fact the sleeves are three quarter length puts the cherry on top! 

I have also been on the lookout for a white shirt/blouse for years but all have had too large collars, stiff fabric, too silky fabric etc so the appearance of both the white shirts are appealing to me. I think they will be something I must try when they are released for sale. The only implication will be deciding between the pocketed shirt or plain. 

The denim ensembles are looks I am drawn to. However I am not a major fan of pale denim and I wish that they were in a darker wash. Hopefully they will sell a darker selection on they website when they release it.

My Autumn/Winter necessities

I have decided to gather and share my list of necessities of both things I own and hope to own by the time autumn is fully upon us.

1. My Navy A.P.C. lambswool scarf. It proved to be my best friend last winter to keep me warm and extermely comfortable. When unfolded it is nearly the size of a blanket , and of course the huge piece of material when wrapped around my neck kept me snug. The colour is also incredibly versatile and is evident to be one of my favourite colours for clothing. I am extremely tempted to invest in the pale cream scarf A.P.C. are currently selling but that isn't really a necessity, just me being greedy. 

2. My beloved navy A.P.C. coat. I wore this coat to death last Autumn/Winter. There isn't much need to explain why as it is such a basic piece but every time I wore it I instantly felt put together. (A.P.C. no longer sell this coat but here is the link to this seasons pea coat they are selling.)

3. Another beloved item is my denim skirt. I am not lying to say I wear it almost everyday. I really should find another skirt but this one goes with everything far too effortlessly to not wear. The raw denim is now beginning to break in, after about a year (yes a year!!) and soften, which is making me consider purchasing another before it is discontinued and so I can have it in my wardrobe for ever.  

4. Margaret Howell cable knit roll neck jumper. I recently wrote about my submission into the quest of a black roll neck jumper. I am happy to announce the mission is over and I am greatly content with my investment. The combination of luxury fabrics (wool and cashmere) the jumper results itself in absolute bliss covering my upper body and neck. 

5. A.P.C. Osaka dress. The concept of a dress is so appealing. I love the way it is one item that you pull straight over your head and it is considered an item that makes you look you have put great effort into getting ready. This one by A.P.C. has an extra appeal as it is navy which I am always drawn to. I also love the pattern, it appears to be a drawing turned into a repeat patten. I have been recently drawn to simplistic drawings of plants to show their natural shapes so the combination of this and an item by my favourite brand is a must have for me. 

6. Margaret Howell turtle neck jumper. I dont wish to bore my readers with being repetative so here is the link of my blog post already expressing my love for this jumper.

7.Navy A.P.C Peter Pan collar coat (Dolly coat). Ah, the trusty sixties style I can never resist being appealed to. A.P.C. have greatly created an item destined to belong within my wardrobe. I tried this coat on during my trip to London and since it has not escaped my mind. The cut suits my body so well I cannot help myself to brag. The knee length also adds a distinctive difference to my Pea coat as it will keep an extra section of my legs warm. 

8. Church's brogues. These classic shoes can cause some controversy with the claim of being too masculine. However I find the detailed cut leather to create a classic decorative pattern could not be any more feminine, as well as the patent leather which is a classic characteristic of feminine shoes. I love the idea of impeccable detailing and workmanship that has gone into the construction of an item. This gives me a idea of safety that I know these shoes wont fall to bits after one winter of wear. The idea of having my feet fully covered is also appealing as I am so used to walking around with freezing and sodden feet. Another point I must make is the rather ridiculous fact that I find the appearance of the nude inner contrasting with the shoes outer is so pretty. 

9. My Porselli ballerina's. They aren't the best for damp days but have such a cute aesthetic about them that makes me feel utterly girly. They also are the most comfy shoes I have ever owned due to them immediately moulding to the shape of my feet. They are obviously not the most durable shoes due to their ballerina qualities, but I will happily replace them over and over again to satisfy my love for them.

London via disposable camera

So I decided to join the disposable camera bandwagon. I thought my trip to London would be a interesting location for my experiment in terms of varying subjects of architecture, lighting, and nature. I feel some of the photo's have worked well and provide a nostalgic atmosphere of childhood holiday photo's, whilst some have resulted in a mucky appearance. I have learned if I continue the usage of a disposable camera to ensure good lighting, also to try and use the flash at least once (I forgot about it haha).
