A.P.C. Classic wedge

The naming of these wedge sandals being Classic is true. They are perfectly formed in a simplistic way, their luxurious leather crossing together to create the leather and suede result. I chose the dark chestnut brown as an addition to my black suede pair. I can imagine wearing these with tanned legs, the brown leather enhancing the tan.

Summer holiday wish list

Swimwear - Monsoon, Navy Hat - Monsoon, Skirt, Striped hat, Sandals and bag - A.P.C

I have always found it hard to find the perfect swimwear, they all seem too revealing or exaggerated in pattern. I have come across two sets of swimwear by Monsoon, which seem to have ticked the correct boxes for my idea of perfect swimwear. Navy – check, my favourite wardrobe colour, crochet – perfect for summer, bandeau – perfect for tanning. The use of the crochet also provides simple, but perfectly feminine detailing, I can imagine slipping on some shorts and the swimsuit acting as a top.  One set of the swimwear is a complete swimsuit whilst the other is a two set of a tankini and briefs enabling the top to be pulled up for further tanning opportunities. 

As well as swimwear being one of my primary struggles for my summer holidays, hats have always been a major annoyance. I have found it difficult to find the perfect one. The typical beach hat with the gigantic brim has been tested but failed. The large brim gets in the way and with a bit of wind catching it resulting in it being blown from my head. I have spotted this navy bucket hat, which is perfectly cute and with a smaller brim will prevent it flying away.

Union Magazine

Union magazine has brought me such great inspiration, the dreamy colour palette and equally dreamy photography. The beautiful quote on the front cover is true to the magazine: "Fine things are always timeless. Even as moments elude us, the universal charm of truly beautiful exquisite things will always draw people in. Timeless beauty is our essence and eternal philosophy."

The display of architecture, styling and nature all combined create a world within the magazine I would love to live in. I now need to get my hands on the next issue for this Spring Summer. 

Bordeaux suede

Jumper - COS, Skirt - A.P.C, Shoes - A.P.C., Bag - Louis Vuitton Sofia Coppola

It is not like me to wear colour, but this skirt caught my eye when I saw it last year in the A.P.C. SS15 presentation. The hue isn't overly bold, a perfectly subtle bordeaux. The addition of topstitching creating a decorative seam added to my love. As usual, I have had the skirt altered, otherwise it would have been down to my knees. 

This skirt is perfectly trans-seasonal, as shown in this outfit I am wearing it with tights, but I can imagine it with bare legs and sandals when the weather becomes warm. 

I feel A.P.C. have taken upon the mentality of the 60's - 70's styling, the use of the a-line traditionally associated with the 60's. The colour of the skirt seems to be inspired by the rose tinted view of the 70's.
