Céline Audrey

Sunday, 29 May 2016

I originally purchased a pair of olive green Céline Audrey sunglasses way back in 2012 and dearly loved them. Then one day I put them on and they just didn’t feel ‘right'. They felt too large (as they are supposed to be) so I sold them. Immediately as I did I regretted my decision. They were my first sunglasses investment and I lost a lot of money. So the years have passed and I have tried countless designs, a new pair each summer since. Céline Aviator, Céline Mary, Ray-Ban Club master and Ray-ban Meteor, all are gorgeous glasses which I do love.
However, my penchant for the Audrey’s did not subside. I always have aimed for the classic Audrey Hepburn style that everyone has tried to recreate (all which have never lived up to the original’s - I would love to have the exact pair).
Ironically it is the Audrey style by Celine that has fulfilled the sunglasses shaped hole in my optical life. It was just by chance I was in Selfridges and decided to try them for old times sake. I was pleasantly surprised to see the familiar face of my 17 year old self in my reflection. After a few days of mulling over the idea of purchasing them again, I decided I had to have them back in my life. This time in classic black. I wouldn’t cross out replacing my original olive green’s either.

p.s I must say the silver details look darling accompanied with my silver Sophie Buhai earrings.
