Thoughts

Vintage Calvin Klein campaigns are the embodiment of what I want to wear right now (and probably forever). The neutrality and wearability of the images are evidently timeless.

Abstract of Catherine Brass Yates (Mrs. Richard Yates) by Gilbert Stuart, 1793/1794.

It was just by chance that these two images placed themselves next to eachother on my list of pinterest pins. Although unrelated, I cannot help but compare their shared similarities of colour and light. I find it fascinating how I can visually relate to a historic and contemporary image.

Half Apple, oil on panel by Neil Nelson. Mango, watercolour on paper by Mark Adams Mango, 1978.

I cannot help but stare at these two paintings. Both feature fruit and tonal pastel hues. It is a rarity for me to indulge in wearing colour, but I have a healthy appetite for appreciating them. Maybe it is time to implement colour into my material life.
A desire for tranquility. It scares me to think I will never visit the places I admire.
Considering the art of flower arranging.
